I took a quick picture and exited the highway.

San Diego Balboa Park.

He was homeless and hungry.

I say I am gay, and willing to help.

I asked do have a problem with that.

He asked if I was talking about lunch.

Or talking about sex.

He said he was straight.

But he was even more hungry.

We packed up his tent.

I took him to a restaurant.

Watched him devour food.

He said it had been three days.

Since the last time he ate anything.

I offer him a shower and a chance to do laundry.

He said okay, that would be awesome.

He took off his clothes and threw them in the washer.

Which left him naked.

But not a problem.

For either of us.

He asks me gay questions.

Like how long I have been out.

If I like his body.

Can he spend the night?

He will do anything I want.

I get naked.

We take a shower together.

We kiss and make out.

Wash each other’s body parts.

He was so freaked out.

That he loved how it felt.

We made love and cuddled.

He told me he was lonely.

He hated being homeless.

He could be gay with.

If I wanted him to.

I woke up the next morning.

He was gone along with a twenty.

But not the fifty, from my wallet.

I was hurt.

But not surprised.

Until he returned

With breakfast for us.
