My reflection, bathroom mirror.
Yesterday was my eighteenth birthday.
My parents threw me a party.
Just the three of us, an only one child.
My favorite food, mom's pot roast.
Chocolate Layered Cake.
With eighteen individual candles to blow out.
Very impressed I should get my wish.
My explanation was simple
I told my parents and came out of the closet.
Not sure why I started to cry.
Besides being a little nervous.
I knew they loved me but could be disappointed.
Dad said now tell us something we don't already know.
Mom says, Why don't you have a boyfriend already?
I was freaking, they all ready knew.
They were just too afraid to say anything.
Then named three guys they thought I had a crush on.
That was weird and true in all three cases.
I was so embarrassed my deep dark secret.
Despite my revelation I can still keep my present.
Dad hands me the keys says it is parked in the garage.
A slightly used Jeep in my favorite color Lime Green.
I was crying like a baby for a second, at eighteen.
Friday I drive my Jeep to School with a rainbow sticker.
I tell a few friends I came out to my parents.
Which was also coming out to them.
They were freaking or didn't believe it.
Then Jimmy caught me in the hallway.
Said he saw the jeep and the rainbow sticker.
How does he tell his other friends
His best friend now does gay stuff.
I explain He should stick up for his gay friend me.
Tell them one of four guys plays for the other side.
It was bound to happen to one of us we are a group of nine.
Wait that means someone else is gay.
Who do you think it is? Jimmy asks.
I ask, Do you want a blow job before class.
Or just to make out and jerk off?
He freaks... receives and comes over to meet my parents.
Our first sleep over Friday night.
My wish did come true he does love to bottom.
And I got a hot boyfriend to take to prom.
