As a reporter for the school newspaper it just seemed to me to be a story. A quick pic from my cell phone and I have something to think about. The players in question Daniel Carson and Fredric Hampton seem to be sharing a private moment. What is it they say about one picture can replace a thousands words.
Dan and Fred were best friends and two of three wide receivers on the team, and sadly for Dan he had a really bad sprang on his right wrist. He will probably not play the rest of the season. I look at this picture I see two boyfriends holding hands. I show it to my dad he see a drug deal more than likely pain pills from the sprang wrist. I show it to Ralph the student teacher in PE class who also is also helping coach our wide receivers.
He said... Fred got in trouble for not wearing a cup. Dan was giving him his to use which is gross unless it was clean. Dan does not need it any more.
Well that seemed logical, I guess. Of course the only way to get to the truth was to ask the two guy in the picture. A good reporter would ask them individually, and see if their stories jive with the others version. Dan was in the office as a student helper. Fred was twenty feet from me.

Fred - Oh Bro that looks bad. I have a jock with a cup in my hand. Your going to have to ask Dan what is in hand. Now I have a question for you? Are you gay?

Dan starts cracking up, I mean disrupting the office laughing He was asked to step out in the hall way. I follow and he finally reveals the following.
Dan - It was all three. Fred got hit in the groin during practice, it was obvious he did have a cup on. I had not used mine, it was clean. He asked me to bring him two Tylenol and I did.
Me - The gay part was what was in your hand?
Dan - I grabbed him by his junk and told him to put in on right away. I did not want anything happening that would...
Me - Would what Dad?
Dan - Stop us from having children one day.
Me - Children as in two gay dads?
Dan - Did Fred put you up to this.
Me - He told me to ask you. So you are admitting you two are a gay couple?
Dan - I am admitting it to you and asking you to keep our secret.
Me - And why would I agree to keep this scoop a secret.
Dan - there lots of reasons. It is wrong to out people, what is Fred's parent don't know and handle it badly. That could blow our chances for college. You would be outing yourself. You see tow gay guys because you are one. Are you out to anyone at this school? Some people think you are and one would like to hit on you. So, John a question for you. Do you want to do gay stuff? There is another gay guy on the football team that has a crush on you.
Me (John) Let me just say if it is Ryan give him my phone number. I don't think I could do gay stuff with anyone else.
Dan - See you are gay that just proves it. Hang on.
Me - What are you doing?
Dan - Hey Ryan bro he just came out to me but he's a virgin so be nice. No. I will text you his number. I told him you got crush on him. Bro come up to the office tell him yourself. He is wearing his PE clothes too. Thirty seconds.
