Mitch was the resident tattoo artist and former owner of a graphics design company. At the age of thirty-seven he had an affair with Josh a gay young man at work. The attraction was over a new tattoo the young man had. The tattoo was taken from a design Mitch himself had created. Not meant to be used as body art. Mitch loved it too much.
Josh and Mitch had an affair and Mitch learned the art of tattooing. After two years the young man was cover on his back side from his t shirt collar down. Mitch got divorced, and came out of the closet as gay. He sold his company for an insane amount of money. He bought a small hotel on the beach and is creating tattoo's for anyone that is willing to move in and play lovers for as long as it takes to finish. In some cases until he runs out of room.
Clint is a repeat boyfriend once a year for about a month. He knew Mitch before the gay stuff and his ex-wife. He was single and thought gay stuff was a great idea.
Clint has some of Mitch's earliest tattoos and where Mitch got his love for patterns. Mitch's co worker was younger and gay.

David and Clint knew each other for the Tumble Inn Bar and Grill. He asked about the tattoo's. Clint told he was gay and asked if he wanted to do gay stuff.

Jack finally get a small part in a TV show and his tats became even more famous. The storyline to his part had Jack fall in love with his childhood best friend Billy who is gay. The actor William playing the part agreed to get a full body tattoo and Mitch was paid in advance to do it and make three cameo guest appearances.
Billy had been in a number of pilots for gay characters. No one of took off like this one or required he keep his shirt off on camera.
He and Jack became very close friends spend tons of time together. Even when they won't shooting.
Their were rumors about the two of them in love but the fitness guy in the show isn't embarrassed his boyfriend has a beer belly

Billy just wasn't interested in cutting down on the beers or doing sit-ups. Jack asks the producers write it in the contract. They declined and he left the show in episode two of the fourth season. He was killed in a car wreck.

He and Billy came up with the idea of a tat reunion. The producers decided to end the show at Mitch hotel with an open invite to every client that got a tattoo from him.
That motel never has a vacancy sign. Always a bunch of gay guys doing gay stuff and getting tattoos. That is the way to retire.
