When they first met I don't think they could not hate each other more. Joe my top mechanic seems to think when the customer is making a huge mistake you should refuse to provide the service. This customer Steven seems to think they should be able to get what they pay for. I was hoping for a compromise. I decided to try something I have never tried before.
I asked them both come to the tire room to discuss moving forward with the repair. I remove the padlock we all walked in I walked out and lock them both inside. After about twenty minute the yelling to get out stopped. I could hear them talking. Twenty minutes after that I didn't hear anything. I unlock the door to find them both making out.
Joe shuts the door on me and yelling through the door asked for the rest of the day off. I checked back twenty minutes later and they were both gone. Joe called me later that night to ask me how long I knew he liked guys when he didn't know himself.
I explained I only see him get nervous around gay guys and hot guys gay or straight. What I saw yesterday was desperate cry for help from both of you. Which was the point of his next question.
Does anyone at the shop know why I asked for the day off?
Don't worry I had everyone read our policy about gay employees before they left last night.

You know no sexual harassment at work or while on duty, don't tease the gay guy about gay stuff. Don't ask to borrow money, or loan money, or for any special favors. Standard stuff.
So, Boss... George what you did today was probably a crime. Steven and I wanted to say Thank You for the push. Unbelievable how scary this gay stuff was. Until it wasn't scary... it was necessary.

No Joe this you talking a friend, who happens to be your boss. Coming out is walking into work tomorrow and everyday after as a the Joe we all know and love that happens to be gay. Just don't freak out tomorrow when you come back to work. Everyone loves you or you scare them to death. Either way it will be fine no one cares.

I can't say forsure how this happened. I guess the local health dept. orders condom's by the case. I get to work the next morning and someone has place those red plastic beer cups full of condoms all over the garage. With a notice to all employees that Joe is sexually active and gay.
Joe laughed so hard he cried.
