Kevin's 50th birthday party Jacks 65th birthday celebration and the couples 33 year Anniversary all be held at Capt. Jack Harlow's retirement party from the LAPD.
Kevin's dad brings in his seventeen year old son in to see Sargent Jack Harlow. Kevin was gay and doing inappropriate gay things with scary people. His dad was over it and could not seem to get his son to understand there are other ways to be gay.
Jack was a detective that had busted a human trafficking network involving gay young men and boys. Jack was one of the only out of the closet police officers working with the gay community. Jack took Kevin home with him. Introduce him to a lot of gay people out in the community. He got Kevin a parttime job and the Gay Community Center. Jack was a very popular gay guy, strong, handsome, a cop, Kevin fell in love fairly fast. He made it his mission to get Jack to fall in love with him. A seventeen year old begging for Jack to teach him gay stuff, like the way gay boyfriends do it.
Kevin father said go for it. His son need help and he knew Jack would be good to him. It did not take too long for people to figure it out. Kevin got his high school diploma and started at the community college and got a degree in Criminal Justice and joined the police department. He has over twenty years in already.
A response to a question Kevin said Jack was his gay dad, his gay big brother, his gay best friend, and his gay lover. That Jack was exactly what he needed. Back then I thought my dad was saying you can't be gay. He was trying to tell me there is a better way to be gay. My dad saw I needed something he could not provide. After Jack I made it official we went to visit my dad so I could give him a hug and say thanks I finally get it. I love you. All three of us were crying and couldn't have been happier. That was over thirty years ago. Kevin's mom and dad now in their seventies could not be more proud.
